- kai is drinking a Blind Pig IPA by Russian River Brewing Company at Toronado February 8, 2025They have Sabbath blasting from the jukebox. This is tasting life affirming. So many 14-year old sense memories flooding in. Glad I got to stop in once more.
- kai is drinking a The Story by Go Brewing at Navigator Taproom February 7, 2025Thin, obviously. Expensive in the venue. But compelling. Very good hop aroma, pleasantly flavored aside from the thinness.

- kai is drinking a Smoked Helles by Hopewell Brewing Co. at Hopewell Brewing Company February 5, 2025Smoky with an almost sweet quality. Light-bodied, but rounded. Crushable.

Yes it's grapefruit and tangerine peel on the nose, yes it's bitter marmalade and toast on the tongue, yes it's malty on the finish. But it all works in harmony. Brilliant on cask. SO RED
